NEW Maybelline Color Whisper Review and Swatches

The Maybelline Color Whisper lipcolors pretty much just exploded onto the beauty scene, and for good reason. They are creamy, smooth, have a gorgeous color selection, don't dry out your lips and the pigmentation is fantastic for a product of its kind. I only 4 colors but I am definitely going to be grabbing some more.

The Color Whispers are an in between of a lipstick/tinted lipbalm. Some of the lighter colors are very sheer but you can build them to almost full opacity, the darker colors are almost fully opaque on the first coat. They apply smoothly and feel soft and creamy on the lips, absolutely no stickiness, YAY! They also have the perfect amount of shine in my opinion, not too shiny but not too matte, I love it, I feel like I can just throw these on and be out the door in 2 seconds flat.

These very closely rival the revlon lip butters, in fact they're basically the same exact thing, different brand, different colors, different packaging, virtually the same product. I think they feel a little lighter on the lips compared to the Lip Butters but maybe thats just me. I also found that they aren't quite as moisturizing as the Lip Butters so if you're looking for moisturizing color I would suggest checking those out. And on a final comparison note, I like the packaging of the Color Whispers a LOT more, they come with a see through plastic cover that matches the color of the product with whisper written on it in cursive, I think its adorable but more importantly the product doesn't pool around the edges when you twist it down like the lip butters, which in my book is a huge plus because I hate when my lip products get stuck up at the top.

The colors that I have are...
Pin Up Peach: I think they mixed up the names of Pin Up Peach and Coral Ambition because Pin Up Peach looks more like a coral/salmon color to me
Coral Ambition: This is a gorgeous, sheer, subtle peachy, pink color
Pink Possibilities: Hello Pink. This is a bubblegum pink with a ton of shine
Who Wore it Red-er: this is an almost magenta or fuschia pinky/red

Overall: If you're looking for a stand alone lip product that has subtle color and the perfect amount of shine I can't recommend these enough! Try em out and let me know what you think!
